Palkhi 2026
On the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, autistic students from Prasanna Autism Centre, which has been working for autistic children for the past 26 years, organised Saint Dnyaneshwar Mauli’s Palkhi (palanquin procession). All the students arrived looking very happy in traditional attire. The ritual worship (poojan) of Saint Dnyaneshwar Mauli’s image was performed. Following this, in a highly enthusiastic atmosphere, a Dindi (procession) was taken out with students carrying Tulsi Vrindavan on their heads to the rhythm of cymbals and chants of “Gyanba Tukaram”. Under the guidance of Sadhana Godbole, Managing Director of the Centre , the Palkhi was managed by teachers Bharati Patil, Mrunal Dhole, Uma Kharse, Rutuja Gaikwad, and Snehal Bendre.
